Handling for Squad Leads : Supporting Gurus During Difficult Interactions - Supporting your Guru afterwards

A difficult interaction can leave a Guru with a number of feelings:
  • Confidence is shaken
  • Anger
  • Self doubt
  • Sense of failure
This is natural and you should take some time afterwards to unpack the interaction
  • Take time to decompress with your Guru and go over any learnings, struggles and especially wins
  • Use this as an opportunity for coaching and learning
  • Address any baggage as soon as possible so it doesn’t inform later calls and chats
  • If an interaction has involved high emotion (anger, upset, worry, fear) give them a breather and space to move away from live channels for a short period - this will let them get back into the right headspace.
  • Address any merchant bashing or baggage with merchants, getting to the root cause and addressing this can lead to a better experience for Gurus and merchants in the future
Once the dust has settled this is a great opportunity to demonstrate “The How” and “The Why” so that the next time this issue arises they can rock it!
